Two-port bi-directional USB-C KVM
This USB-C switch connects two computers to one display or one computer to two displays, switching manually between them. Both source and display ports must support DisplayPort Alternate Mode for video. The unit includes a 50 cm cable and requires standard USB-C Gen 2 cables for full performance.
Thermals noise and power draw
Passive operation means no fans and silent running in normal use. The switch handles up to 100 W of USB Power Delivery 3.0 pass-through so a connected laptop can charge while working. Data traffic runs at 10 Gbps USB 3.1 Gen 2 speeds without active cooling.
Sustained load behaviour
Video bandwidth supports 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz continuously, with lower resolutions such as 1440p at 165 Hz also available. Total cable length across both ends should stay under three metres to avoid flicker or signal loss during extended sessions. Two displays cannot operate simultaneously.

Questions about this item
How do I connect the Jansicotek USB-C Bi-Direction KVM Switch so the 8K@30Hz video signal works?
Connect each device with a standard USB-C Gen-2 cable, keep the total cable length under 3 metres, and ensure every USB-C port involved supports DP Alternate Mode or the video will not appear.
What part of this switch is most likely to need replacement first?
The 50 cm integrated cable is the only moving part; repeated bending or unplugging can fatigue its internal wires and cause intermittent 10 Gbps data or 100 W power delivery.
At what point does the 10 Gbps bandwidth limit appear during a large file transfer?
The 10 Gbps ceiling is reached whenever combined video and data traffic exceeds that rate, so sustained copies to a fast SSD will throttle to the switch’s maximum throughput.
