What this capture device does
The Jansicotek YCY-2353 captures a single HDMI video signal at up to 1080p 60Hz while passing through a 4K 30Hz input. It connects via USB 3.0 with 300–350 MB/s throughput and also works on USB 2.0 at 40 MB/s. No external power supply is required and power draw stays at or below 2.5 W. It suits streamers, educators and conference rooms needing straightforward HD capture.
Check your ports and software first
Your source must provide an HDMI output and your computer needs a free USB 3.0 or 2.0 port. Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 or later, macOS 10.9 or later, Linux and Android are supported; some Windows 7 installations require a driver install. The 3.5 mm microphone input accepts only TRS headsets and does not record party chat. Verify your streaming software — OBS, vMix, Wirecast, PotPlayer, VLC, QuickTime Player — recognises UAC and UVC devices.
Behaviour during long sessions
The aluminium body passively dissipates the low 2.5 W load so temperatures remain stable over extended streams. USB 3.0 bandwidth of 300–350 MB/s sustains 1080p 60 Hz capture without frame drops, while automatic format detection keeps output size and frame rate consistent. If you fall back to USB 2.0 the 40 MB/s limit restricts you to lower resolutions or frame rates. Audio stays locked at 48 kHz PCM throughout.

Questions about this item
What cables and accessories come with the Jansicotek YCY-2353 capture device, and what must I buy separately?
The device itself is supplied new. You will need an HDMI cable to connect your video source, a USB 3.0 cable for the host connection, and a 3.5 mm TRS microphone headset if you want commentary audio. No external power adapter is required.
Should I choose a different version or capacity of the YCY-2353 for 4K 60 Hz capture?
This single model accepts HDMI input up to 4K at 30 Hz and records at 1080p 60 Hz. There is no higher-capacity variant in this series, so if you need 4K 60 Hz capture you would need a different product line.
What does the 300–350 MB/s USB 3.0 throughput mean when I am streaming to OBS on Windows 10?
The bandwidth handles uncompressed 1080p 60 Hz YUY2 or MJPEG video plus 48 kHz PCM audio with headroom, so frames arrive at the encoder without dropped frames, provided the host USB controller delivers full 3.0 speed.
