Smart Bluetooth Dimmer for Lamps

The GE Bluetooth Smart Dimmer plugs into a standard wall outlet and adds wireless dimming and scheduling to any table or floor lamp. It connects directly to a smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth and is managed through the free Avi-on app. The unit supports dimmable LED, CFL, halogen and incandescent bulbs across a full 0% to 100% range. It requires iOS 7.0 or Android 4.4 or later for operation.

Horizontal Design Keeps an Outlet Free

The space-saving horizontal form factor leaves the second wall receptacle available for other devices. No wiring is required; simply plug the dimmer in, pair it with the app, and connect your lamp. The Bluetooth mesh network extends coverage throughout the home without a separate hub. Buyers who need hardwired wall-switch replacement or multi-gang installations cannot use this plug-in format.

Sustained Operation via Mesh Relay

Under continuous daily use the dimmer relays commands through the Bluetooth mesh, allowing schedules and remote adjustments to propagate across multiple units. The Avi-on app handles recurring daily, weekly, sunrise/sunset and random vacation timers without cloud dependency. Builders who require voice control via Amazon Alexa can enable that integration, while those needing Zigbee, Z-Wave or Thread compatibility must choose a different protocol.
