High-Pressure Stage Lamp for Moving Heads
The Jaspertronics 5R High Pressure Stage Lamp is a discharge lamp built for professional moving-head fixtures. It delivers 8000 lm output at a colour temperature of 8000K and operates at 189W from a 75V supply. The lamp fits units such as the Clay Paky Sharpy, Elation Platinum Beam 5R and Moown Lighting 5R Beam.
Sustained Output and Lamp Life
The short-arc design maintains stable brightness across the 2000 h rated life when run at the specified 189W. Universal burn position allows any mounting angle without arc drift. The 0.9 mm arc gap and 34.5 mm working distance keep the focal point consistent during long shows, reducing colour shift over time.
Direct Replacement Installation
The lamp measures 51 x 56 mm and matches the original part number 5002464 for a tool-free swap in compatible heads. Alignment is critical: the arc must sit at the 34.5 mm working distance or the optical system will not focus. Installers should avoid touching the quartz envelope, as skin oils create hot spots that shorten the 2000 h rating.

Questions about this item
How much heat and power does the 189 W lamp produce when running continuously?
The lamp draws 189 W at 75 V and generates significant heat typical of a high-pressure short-arc design; ensure the fixture’s cooling system is rated for continuous operation.
Which fixture and socket does this 5R lamp require to operate?
It fits moving-head fixtures that accept a 5R lamp with a 34.5 mm working distance and 51 x 56 mm envelope, such as the Moown Lighting 5R Beam and the listed Clay Paky, Elation, Martin, Mega Lite, ADJ and Artfox models.
Will the 0.9 mm arc gap and 8000 K output match my older 5R moving heads?
Yes — the 0.9 mm arc gap, 8000 K colour temperature and 8000 lm output are standard for 5R lamps, so it will perform identically to the original NSL-189 in compatible fixtures.
