Compatible fixtures

The MSD350R17 replaces the original discharge lamp in moving-head units from Blizzard Lighting, Elation, Fine Art, Microh, Pearl River, Philips Vari-Lite, PR Lighting, Showline, Terbly, Triton Blue and VariLite. It fits beam, spot, wash and hybrid models including the Kryo Mix CYM, Platinum BX, Platinum SBX series, Fine 350BSW, ULTRA TRINITY IP350, PR XR 350 BWS, Hydrus 350, G10, G10B and Mega Beam fixtures.

Arc-gap constraint

A 1.3 mm arc gap fixes the optical focus point, so the lamp only works in fixtures designed for that precise geometry. The 350 W power draw and 15,000 lumen output demand a matching ballast and thermal design; using the lamp in an incompatible housing will cause misalignment or premature failure.

Bare-bulb handling

Supplied as a bare bulb weighing 0.2000 kg with 58 x 58 x 66 mm dimensions, the lamp requires careful installation without touching the quartz envelope. The compact form factor allows direct retrofit in tight fixture heads, but oils from skin can create hot spots that shorten the 350 W discharge source’s service life.
