Panoramic surround with detachable rears

The JBL BAR 1000 MK2 is a 7.1.4 channel soundbar system that uses four up-firing drivers in the main bar and two battery-powered wireless rear speakers to create height and surround effects. It targets home-cinema enthusiasts who want object-based audio without running speaker cables across the room.

HDMI eARC and 4K passthrough limits

The bar provides three HDMI inputs and an eARC output that passes 4K HDR10+ and Dolby Vision signals to the display. Audio return is restricted to formats supported by the eARC link and the connected television, so legacy AVR setups or displays without eARC cannot pass lossless Atmos or DTS:X bitstreams.

Ten-hour rear-speaker battery

Each detachable surround module runs on a 3.635 V 6600 mAh lithium cell rated for up to 10 hours of playback before it must be docked on the main bar to recharge, making extended movie marathons or all-day music sessions the practical limit for cable-free rear placement.
