11.1.4 Channel Soundbar System

The JBL Bar 1300X MK2 is an 11.1.4 channel soundbar system designed for home cinema enthusiasts who want immersive Dolby Atmos and DTS:X surround sound without running speaker cables. It includes a main soundbar, a wireless subwoofer, and two detachable wireless rear speakers. The system supports HDMI eARC with 4K Dolby Vision passthrough for simplified TV connectivity.

Detachable Wireless Rear Speakers

The two rear speakers detach from the main soundbar and run on built-in lithium batteries rated at 7.2V and 4722mAh, providing up to 10 hours of playtime per charge. When docked, they recharge automatically and function as additional up-firing channels. This design removes the need for permanent rear power outlets while still delivering discrete surround channels. The MultiBeam 3.0 and PureVoice 2.0 technologies enhance spatial imaging and dialogue clarity.

Connectivity and Interface Limits

The system offers three HDMI inputs and one HDMI eARC output, limiting direct source connections to three devices. Audio inputs include Optical, Bluetooth, USB, and Wi-Fi for streaming. The frequency response spans 33Hz to 20kHz at -6dB. The main soundbar measures 55.3 cm wide, the subwoofer 12.4 cm wide, and each detachable speaker 8 cm wide, requiring adequate shelf or floor space for placement.

Questions about this item

How often will the detachable surround speakers need recharging during regular use?

Each detachable surround speaker runs on a 7.2 V 4722 mAh lithium battery and provides up to 10 hours of playtime before it must be docked back on the soundbar to recharge.

What is the lowest frequency the system can reproduce before the subwoofer reaches its limit?

The frequency response is rated down to 33 Hz at -6 dB, so sustained low-frequency effects below that point will not be reproduced by the subwoofer.

How much heat or noise does the soundbar produce when running continuously for a full day?

The soundbar draws power from a 100-240 V AC supply and has no active cooling fans, so it generates only modest warmth and remains silent during all-day operation.
