5.1 Channel Soundbar System
The JBL BAR-500-MK2 is a 5.1 channel soundbar system designed for home cinema and music listening. It pairs a main bar with a 10-inch wireless subwoofer to deliver multi-channel audio for movies, TV shows and playlists. The system suits viewers who want immersive surround sound without running cables to rear speakers.
Connectivity and Compatibility
The soundbar provides one HDMI input and one HDMI output with eARC, plus optical, USB, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections. It passes through HDR10+ and Dolby Vision video signals at HDCP 2.3. Buyers who need multiple HDMI inputs for several consoles or set-top boxes should look at a different solution.
10-Inch Wireless Subwoofer
A 10-inch driver in the wireless subwoofer handles low frequencies down to 40 Hz, adding physical impact to explosions and music bass. The subwoofer measures 12.8 inches wide, 15.7 inches high and 12.8 inches deep, so it requires floor space near a power outlet. If your room cannot accommodate a separate subwoofer cabinet, this system will not fit.
