Real surround sound with detachable wireless

The JBL BAR-700-MK2 is a 5.1 channel sound bar system designed for living-room surround sound without running extra wires. It includes a 10 inch wireless subwoofer and two detachable surround speakers that operate on battery power. The system uses MultiBeam 3.0 and PureVoice 2.0 to widen the soundstage and clarify dialogue.

Detachable surround speaker playtime up to 10 hours

The battery-powered surround speakers provide up to 10 hours of continuous playback before they need recharging on the main bar. This means a typical movie night or extended viewing session can run without interruption. The subwoofer remains wireless for flexible placement while the main bar handles processing and amplification duties.

HDMI eARC with 4K Dolby Vision passthrough

The single HDMI output supports enhanced Audio Return Channel and passes 4K Dolby Vision video through to the television. Audio inputs include Optical, Bluetooth and USB for connecting external sources. Frequency response spans 35Hz to 20kHz, covering deep bass from the subwoofer up to high-frequency detail from the tweeters.

Questions about this item

How much heat or fan noise does the JBL BAR-700-MK2 produce during all-day use?

The soundbar has no fan and its 10-inch wireless subwoofer runs cool, so extended sessions stay silent apart from the audio itself.

What must I already own to use the detachable surround speakers and HDMI eARC?

A TV with an HDMI eARC port and a Wi-Fi network for the JBL ONE App setup are required; the surrounds pair wirelessly to the bar.

Will the 5.1-channel bar and its 7.1-channel processing work with my older 1080p TV over optical?

Yes, the optical input carries stereo or compressed 5.1, while the HDMI eARC with 4K Dolby Vision passthrough remains available for future upgrades.
