Ultra-portable Bluetooth speaker

The JBL Go 4 is a compact, active 2.0 speaker that connects wirelessly to smartphones, tablets and laptops. Its IP67 rating makes it waterproof and dustproof for outdoor use. The integrated loop allows easy attachment to bags or hooks. Recycled plastic and fabric are used in the grille and packaging.

Suited for on-the-go listening.

Travellers and casual listeners who need a rugged, pocket-sized speaker for poolside, beach or picnic use will appreciate the durability and simple Bluetooth pairing. Buyers who want stereo imaging from a single unit, longer continuous playtime without recharging, or wired audio inputs should look at larger or differently equipped models.

7-hour battery with 2-hour Playtime Boost

The built-in battery delivers up to 7 hours of playback on a single charge, and the Playtime Boost feature can extend that by up to 2 additional hours. This single figure determines whether the speaker can last through your typical outing without needing a power source.

Questions about this item

How do I pair the JBL Go 4 with my phone for the first time?

Enable Bluetooth on your phone, power on the speaker, and select JBL Go 4 from the device list; the speaker enters pairing mode automatically on first power-up.

What part of the JBL Go 4 is most likely to wear out first?

The internal lithium-ion battery will gradually lose capacity over repeated charge cycles, eventually reducing the maximum playtime below the original 7-hour rating.

What limits how loud the JBL Go 4 can play continuously?

The 7-hour battery capacity is the first limit; at higher volumes the speaker will reach the end of its charge sooner than the rated playtime.
