JBL Live 780NC Black wireless headphones 80h battery 2026

What the JBL Live 780NC delivers

The JBL Live 780NC are new over-ear wireless headphones with Hi-Res certified sound and Spatial 3D audio. True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 uses six microphones to auto-adjust to your surroundings in real time. Bluetooth 6.0 with LE Audio and Auracast sharing supports multi-point connection for two devices. Battery life reaches 80 hours, or 50 hours with noise cancellation active, and a five-minute charge adds four hours.

Who these suit and who should look elsewhere

Listeners wanting personalised audio can use Personi-Fi 3.0 to create a custom hearing profile through the companion app. Clear calls are handled by dual beamforming mics with an AI-trained algorithm that reduces wind and background noise. The folding design and included carrying pouch make them easy to transport. Buyers who need a wired-only connection without the supplied 3.5 mm analogue cable should consider other models.

Build integration: what they need and what they free

Connectivity relies on Bluetooth 6.0 LE Audio, so a compatible source device is required for wireless use. The USB-C to 3.5 mm cable enables wired Hi-Res playback when wireless is not preferred. Multi-point pairing frees you from re-pairing when switching between a phone and a laptop. The folding frame and pouch reduce bulk in a bag, while the 80-hour runtime removes the need for daily charging.
