Wireless Over-Ear Headphones with Smart Transmitter

The JBL Tour One M3 Smart Tx are wireless over-ear headphones that include a universal Bluetooth audio transmitter. They are built for listeners who want adaptive noise cancelling, spatial audio with head tracking, and the ability to connect to both Bluetooth and non-Bluetooth sources through a single device.

Adaptive Noise Cancelling and Battery Life

Eight microphones drive True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0, which monitors ambient sound in real time and applies inverse phase to reduce it. Battery life reaches 70 hours with noise cancelling off and 40 hours with it on, while a five-minute charge adds roughly five hours of playback.

Simple Multi-Source Setup

The Smart Tx transmitter plugs into a USB-C or 3.5 mm jack on a phone, tablet, laptop or in-flight entertainment system and pairs instantly with the headphones. It also enables Auracast sharing with other compatible devices. Buyers who need wired high-resolution audio without the transmitter or who prefer on-ear fit will not be served by this package.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 40 mm driver generate during all-day listening?

The 40 mm mica dome drivers produce no noticeable heat during extended sessions; the headphones weigh 278 g and draw minimal power from the lithium-ion cell.

What source device is required to use the Smart Tx transmitter?

Any device with a USB-C digital audio output or a 3.5 mm analogue jack can feed the Smart Tx; no proprietary dock or base station is needed.

Will the 8-mic True Adaptive Noise Cancelling 2.0 still suppress noise when paired with an older phone?

Yes — the 8-mic adaptive ANC processes noise locally on the headphones, so performance is unchanged regardless of the source device’s Bluetooth version.
