Native 1080p LCD projector for home cinema

The JIMTAB M18 Upgraded uses an LCD panel with OLED technology to deliver a native 1920 x 1080 resolution and a 5000:1 contrast ratio. It accepts 4K input signals and scales them to the 1080p panel while supporting 16777K true colour reproduction. The unit suits living-room film nights, classroom presentations or gaming on a 30 to 300 inch image.

180 W lamp with electronic keystone ±50°

A 180 W light source produces brightness rated above 3500 lumens, upgraded from 4500 to 12000 lux in the 2024 revision. Electronic keystone correction now spans ±50 degrees, allowing off-centre placement without manual adjustment. The projector runs at 60 Hz horizontal and vertical refresh rates with a 1.61 throw ratio for flexible positioning between 5.5 and 30 feet.

Dual HDMI and USB ports plus Dolby stereo

Two HDMI inputs and two USB ports enable simultaneous connection of a laptop, TV box, tablet or smartphone for screen mirroring. Additional VGA, composite and component video inputs cover legacy sources. Built‑in 5 W speakers support HD Dolby Stereo with AC‑3 and DTS decoding, while firmware updated in September 2023 adds playback for AVI, MP4, MKV and common audio and photo formats.

Questions about this item

How do I install the M18 projector and which keystone step is often missed?

Place the unit 5.5 to 30 feet from the screen, connect power and an HDMI source, then use the electronic ±50° keystone correction — many forget to enable the electronic setting after positioning.

What maintenance will the M18 need later?

The lamp is rated at 180; plan to replace the lamp module when brightness drops noticeably, and clean the air vents periodically to maintain cooling.

What limit appears first during long viewing sessions?

The 5 W speaker and 60 Hz refresh rate are the first constraints — audio may need external speakers and motion stays at 60 Hz regardless of source.
