Lavalier microphone for Audio-Technica bodypacks

The JK MIC-J 044 is a lightweight lavalier microphone designed to clip onto a tie, collar or clothing for hands-free speech capture. It connects to compatible Audio-Technica wireless bodypack transmitters via a Hirose 4-pin connector, making it a direct replacement lavalier for existing systems.

Hirose 4-pin connector compatibility

The single specification that determines fit is the Hirose 4-pin plug, which works with Audio-Technica ATW-T1000, ATW-T1001, ATW-T1000 D, ATW-110G, ATW-T310 and ATW-T701 transmitters. Buyers who need a different connector type such as 1/8 inch TRS or TA4F cannot use this microphone.

Clip and windscreens included

The package supplies one clothing clip and two foam windscreens so the microphone can be secured and protected from wind or breath noise immediately. No wireless bodypack transmitter or receiver is included, so users without an existing compatible system must purchase those separately.

Questions about this item

How will the -44 dB sensitivity sound when clipped to a lapel?

The omnidirectional condenser captures speech evenly from all directions with a 20 Hz-20 kHz response and 74 dB signal-to-noise ratio for clear, consistent vocal pickup.

What does the Hirose 4-pin connector limit me to?

It connects only to the listed Audio-Technica bodypack transmitters; the microphone draws 2-10 V DC from the transmitter and cannot operate as a standalone wireless system.

What clearance does the 1.2 m cable and clip need on clothing?

The lightweight black mic clips securely to a tie, collar or garment; the 1.2 m cable routes to the bodypack, and the package includes a clothing clip plus two foam windscreens.
