Replaces Tillman 1354 Model
The Tillman 1357M welding glove succeeds the 1354 model and is built for MIG welding tasks. It uses top-grain cowhide on the palm for strength and split cowhide on the back to resist heat. A seamless index finger improves tactile feel during precision work. The medium size fits a standard hand profile for controlled operation.
Heat Resistance and Hand Protection
Split cowhide on the back shields the hand from radiant heat common in MIG applications. The 4-inch cuff extends coverage over the wrist and lower forearm. DuPont™ Kevlar® stitching reinforces every seam against thermal degradation and mechanical stress. These materials work together to maintain glove integrity during extended high-temperature use.
Kevlar Sock Lining and Cut Resistance
A Kevlar sock lining covers both palm and back, adding puncture and cut protection rated to ANSI A7. This internal layer does not compromise the dexterity provided by the seamless index finger. The glove arrives as a single unit ready for immediate use in fabrication or repair environments. It is not intended for buyers who need multi-pack quantities or alternative size options.

Questions about this item
How do I put on the Tillman 1357M welding gloves so the Kevlar sock lining and 4" cuff protect my wrist and forearm?
Slide your hand fully into the glove until the seamless index finger seats naturally, then pull the 4" cuff up over your sleeve so the Kevlar sock lining covers the wrist and lower forearm without gaps.
When will the Kevlar stitching or cowhide palm on the 1357M need replacement under regular MIG welding use?
Replace the gloves when the top-grain palm shows thinning, the split back develops cracks, or the DuPont Kevlar stitching frays — any of these reduce the ANSI A7 cut resistance the 1357M is built to deliver.
What is the first limitation I will hit during a long MIG welding session wearing the Tillman 1357M?
The 4" cuff and split-cowhide back resist heat, but prolonged high-amperage work will eventually transfer enough heat through the palm to become uncomfortable, signalling the glove's thermal limit.
