Strips various cables up to 1/2 in. capacity without damaging inner braids or conductors
The Jonard CST-1i is an automatic cable stripper built for electricians who need to remove insulation quickly and safely. It handles a range of cables without damaging the inner conductors, braids or foils. The tool is designed for standard electrical stripping tasks on site or in the workshop.
The single specification that decides fit is the automatic adjustment mechanism, which self-sets to the cable diameter so no manual dial is required. It strips solid wire up to .375 in and cable from 1/8 in to 3/8 in, with a cutting capacity of 1/2 in. This makes it suitable for the stated wire and cable ranges only.
It comfortably handles PVC-insulated cables within the 1/8 in to 3/8 in stripping window and cuts up to 1/2 in. The tool runs out on cables thicker than 1/2 in or on insulation types other than PVC. Buyers who need to strip larger diameters or different materials will need a different tool.
