Iconic Gremlins Gizmo Planter

The Joseph Enterprises Gizmo-0404 Chia Pet brings the classic Gremlins character to indoor gardening. It includes a pottery planter, plastic drip tray and chia seed packets for three plantings. This unisex novelty item suits adults who enjoy nostalgic pop-culture decor or simple growing projects.

Reusable Growth Cycle

Each planting reaches full green coverage within one to two weeks. The pottery planter can be washed and replanted indefinitely, so the cycle repeats without new hardware. Light watering and ambient indoor light sustain the sprouts through each growth phase.

Collectible Gift Alternative

This planter replaces single-use novelty gifts or basic seed kits that lack a reusable vessel. The jump is worth it when the buyer wants a recognisable character piece that stays functional after the first sprouts appear.

Questions about this item

Does the pottery planter create any noise or heat while the chia seeds are growing?

No, the Gizmo-0404 planter is a passive pottery piece with no moving parts, so it produces no noise or heat during the 1-2 week growth period.

What additional items must I already have at home to start the first planting?

You only need water and a light source; the box already includes the pottery planter, plastic drip tray and three chia seed packets.

Will the orange Gizmo planter still work if I keep using the same plastic drip tray from an older Chia Pet?

Yes, the planter can be washed and replanted indefinitely, so an older tray will work as long as it fits the base and catches excess water.
