Lightweight Water-Resistant Two-Way Radios

These 70g water-resistant radios operate on the 400-470 MHz band with ten preset channels. They are designed for children aged three to eight and weigh 0.2 kilograms each. The ergonomic shape fits small hands and the anti-fall ABS construction survives drops from five feet. A lanyard hole is integrated for convenient carry.

Pair Includes Two Units and Manual

The box contains two identical radios and one user manual. No batteries are embedded; each unit requires three AAA cells that are not supplied. There is no headphone jack, auxiliary input or additional antenna connector on this model. The simple push-to-talk button and channel-lock function let young users start communicating without complex setup.

Up to 1000 Feet Range in Open Ground

Clear-voice technology delivers non-static audio across distances up to 1000 feet under ideal line-of-sight conditions. In built-up areas or dense woodland the effective range will be shorter. The ten channels provide enough separation for small-group play but can become crowded at large events. The radios are not suited for users who need licensed frequencies, encryption or multi-kilometre coverage.

Questions about this item

How often will I need to replace the 6 AAA batteries?

Battery life depends on how much the push-to-talk button is used; with typical play sessions the two radios can run for many hours before fresh cells are needed.

What limits the 1000-foot range during continuous use?

Buildings, trees, hills and other obstacles reduce the practical distance well below the open-area maximum of 1000 feet.

Do the radios get warm or noisy when left on all day?

The lightweight 70 g units stay cool and silent because they only transmit when the push-to-talk button is pressed.
