What this strip is

JOYLIT PRO+ Diffused COB LED Strip is a 16.4 ft reel of 24 V accent lighting. The 280 LEDs per metre are sealed in milky white silicone so the entire surface glows without visible dots or dark areas. Rated at 525 lm/ft and a CRI of 92+, the 3000 K warm white output suits cabinet, cove, shelf and toe-kick illumination. The double-layer copper PCB and strong 3M backing support professional and home installations.

Who it suits and who it does not

Installers who need a continuous, dot-free line of light with high colour fidelity will find the uniform output and IP65 waterproofing match the brief. The strip is dimmable from 0-100 % when paired with a compatible 24 V dimmer, which must be purchased separately. Buyers who want an all-in-one kit with dimmer and power supply included should look elsewhere, as both are sold separately.

The specification that decides fit

The critical figure is the 24 V DC input combined with 100 W total draw across the full 16.4 ft length. A power supply rated for at least 24 V 5 A is required to run the reel at its rated 8600 lm. Without that supply the strip will not reach its specified brightness or uniformity.

Questions about this item

How warm does the 24V strip get after running all day and does the double-layer copper PCB help?

The supplier notes the strip may feel warm to the touch but stays within the safety range; the 3oz dual-layer copper PCB improves heat dissipation and is rated for 65,000 hours of operation.

What separate items do I need to power and dim the 16.4 ft reel?

You must supply a 24V power supply rated at least 5A and a compatible LED dimmer; neither is included with the strip.

Will the 10mm wide flex tape fit inside the aluminium channels I already use for older 384 LEDs/m strips?

The strip is 0.39 in (10 mm) wide, matching standard channel profiles, so it fits the same extrusions used for lower-density tape.
