Stable copy stand for film
The Kaiser Copy Stand Kit RS-2 XA provides a rigid platform for digitising film negatives or photographing small objects. A 16x20" grid baseboard and 29" column give precise, vibration-free positioning for compact camera systems.
16x20" grid baseboard and adjustable repro arm
The non-reflective matte black baseboard measures 16" x 20" x 1" (400 x 500 x 25 mm) and eliminates glare during capture. A Repro Arm with a 1/4" mounting screw holds lightweight cameras, while the horizontally adjustable column includes inch and centimetre scales for repeatable framing.
Friction-drive height adjustment up to 30
Height is set via a friction drive with nylon bearings, allowing smooth travel to a maximum of 30" (760 mm). No counter-balanced arm or pivoting head is fitted, so heavier camera bodies may not balance correctly; the stand is intended for lighter compact cameras only.

Questions about this item
Does the 29" column or the nylon-bearing friction drive need periodic lubrication?
The column uses a friction drive with nylon bearings that run dry; no lubrication schedule is required.
What stops the 29" column from rising higher than 30"/760 mm when a camera is mounted?
A mechanical stop at the top of the column limits travel to 30"/760 mm regardless of load.
How much acoustic noise does the friction drive produce during repeated height changes throughout a day?
The nylon-bearing drive operates silently; only a faint mechanical click is audible when the lock is engaged.
