Bright 360-degree camping lantern

This Kaito BT-PL4030 lantern delivers 1000 lumen of adjustable LED light in a compact black housing. It is designed for campers, hikers and households needing reliable illumination during outdoor trips or power outages. Four lighting modes include a dimmable setting and a strobe function for signalling.

Simple battery-powered operation

Insert three D-cell batteries into the base compartment to power the unit; batteries are not supplied. The IPX4 rating protects against splashing water, but the lantern is not submersible. A common issue is reduced output or flickering when cells are depleted or inserted with incorrect polarity.

Check your power plan before ordering

Verify you have a stock of D-cell batteries or a convenient way to obtain them, as the lantern ships without any. Consider whether the 360-degree beam pattern suits your intended use versus a directional flashlight. Buyers needing integrated rechargeable cells or a built-in power bank should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the 360-degree 1000 lumen output is working after I insert the batteries?

Turn the lantern on and cycle through the four lighting modes; the 360-degree beam should appear even and bright at the highest setting, and the dimmable mode should reduce output smoothly.

What comes in the box and do I need to buy anything else to use the BT-PL4030?

The package contains the lantern unit only; you must purchase three D-cell batteries separately before it will operate.

Which version of the Kaito Mini LED Flashlight should I choose for a compact emergency light?

The BT-PL4030 is the single model offered, delivering 1000 lumen output, IPX4 water resistance and four adjustable modes in a lightweight black housing.
