Solid cedar top baritone ukulele

The Kala Brand Music Co. Gloss Solid Cedar Top Acacia 8-String Baritone Ukulele is an acoustic guitar-class instrument built for players who want a deeper, richer voice than standard ukuleles provide. Its solid cedar top and acacia back and sides produce full-bodied tone with natural projection, suited to fingerstyle work and stage performance. The 2021 redesign focuses on sound quality and visual detail. This model is not for buyers seeking a traditional four-string soprano or concert scale.

Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard

The mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard are shaped for smooth transitions and comfortable chord changes, letting experienced players adapt quickly to the eight-string layout. High-gloss finish and rosewood binding add durability without altering the feel. Abalone rosette inlay circles the soundhole. No setup tools or electronics are included, so players who need onboard preamps or pickup systems must look elsewhere.

Baritone scale with eight strings

Under sustained playing the solid cedar top continues to deliver warm, resonant output without thinning, while the acacia body maintains projection across longer sets. The baritone scale length supports lower tuning stability for extended sessions. Rosewood bridge and fingerboard resist wear from repeated fingering. Instruments requiring amplification or shorter scale lengths will not match this acoustic response.
