DLC for Tropico 5

This downloadable add-on expands the base strategy simulator with a fast-food franchise campaign and new gameplay mechanics. It is designed for existing Tropico 5 owners who want additional mission content and economic options. The product is a Steam code delivered digitally.

Steam activation and base game required

Installation is handled through the Steam client after redeeming the supplied code. The DLC will not function unless the full version of Tropico 5 is already present in the same Steam library. Users in blocked regions cannot activate the product.

Check Steam account and system compatibility

A Steam account and Windows Vista SP2 or later are mandatory for activation and play. Minimum hardware includes a 2 GHz dual-core processor, 4 GB RAM, 4 GB storage and a DirectX 11 graphics card such as GeForce 400 or Radeon HD 4000. Recommended specifications call for a 2.5 GHz quad-core CPU, 8 GB RAM and a GeForce 500 or Radeon HD 5000. Buyers without the base game or in restricted countries cannot use this code.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Joint Venture DLC is active after redeeming the Steam code?

In your Steam library, right-click Tropico 5, select Properties, then DLC, and confirm Joint Venture shows as installed. The Fast Food Restaurant chain will then appear in the construction menu when you start a sandbox or campaign game.

What comes with the online code and what else is required to play?

The purchase delivers a Steam activation code for the Joint Venture DLC only. You must already own the base game Tropico 5 on Steam and have a Steam account to redeem and play the content.

Which system specification should I check to ensure the DLC runs smoothly?

Match your PC against the listed requirements: a 2 GHz dual-core CPU, 4 GB RAM, and a GeForce 400, Radeon HD 4000 or Intel HD 4000 with DirectX 11 support for minimum play; a 2.5 GHz quad-core, 8 GB RAM and GeForce 500 or Radeon HD 5000 are recommended.
