Digital strategy JRPG for Steam

Dungeons is a downloadable strategy JRPG published by Kalypso Media under model 39093. You receive an online game code that activates on Steam. The title puts you in control of a Dungeon Lord building and defending a subterranean lair against invading heroes.

Upgrade from older dungeon simulators

The game replaces earlier dungeon-management titles with a modern Steam release that runs on Windows 7, Vista or XP SP2. The jump is worth it if you want a supported digital version with Steam achievements and cloud saves instead of legacy disc-based installs.

Fits a modest Windows PC build

Activation requires a Steam account and an internet connection. Minimum hardware calls for a 2.0 GHz dual-core processor, 2 GB of memory and a 256 MB DirectX 9.0c graphics card with Shader Model 3.0. The install needs 2 GB of free hard-drive space and a Windows-compatible sound card. Interface languages include English, French, German and Polish. Not for buyers who want a physical box, console versions or DRM-free distribution.

Questions about this item

Does the Steam code need any physical media or drive to install?

No physical media is involved; the product is a downloadable Steam code that activates directly in your Steam library and downloads over the internet.

What is the exact activation process on Steam, and where do people typically go wrong?

Open Steam, choose "Activate a Product on Steam", enter the code exactly as shown, then let the client download and install the game; the common mistake is typing the code into the store search bar instead of the activation dialog.

Will the game need any future patches, DLC purchases or account changes to keep working?

The base game runs once installed; Steam will deliver any official patches automatically, and no further account changes are required beyond keeping your Steam login active.
