Railway Empire Mexico DLC

This downloadable add-on expands the base strategy simulator with a dedicated Mexican campaign. It is designed for players who already own Railway Empire on Steam and want fresh economic challenges set between 1873 and 1893. The DLC requires a Steam account for activation and is blocked in several regions listed in the specifications. A 64-bit operating system is required.

New scenario and map expansion

The Viva Mexico scenario adds a structured campaign across the full country map, also playable in Free Game and Sandbox modes. More than 24 new cities appear alongside goods such as coffee and sugar, extending trade routes toward the USA. Two new locomotive types, the Fairlie and the Stirling, provide different hauling characteristics for the varied terrain.

Campaign scope and limits

The content covers a twenty-year historical window with a focused set of engines and commodities. Players seeking a larger roster of locomotives or multiple new regions will not find them here. The add-on does not alter core game mechanics beyond the supplied scenario, map, goods and engines. Activation is limited to supported countries.
