Recessed In-Wall Full Motion TV Mount

The Kanto R300 is a recessed articulating wall mount designed to fit between standard 16-inch stud centres. It supports flat-panel televisions from 32 to 55 inches weighing up to 80 pounds. The solid steel construction sits 1.25 inches from the wall when fully retracted for an ultra-low-profile appearance.

Fits 16-Inch Stud Spacing

This mount suits installations where the TV can be recessed between two studs measuring 16 inches apart. It accommodates VESA patterns from 100x100 to 400x400 and provides 90 degrees of swivel in either direction plus accessible tilt from -5 to +10 degrees. Builders whose stud spacing differs or who need a surface-mounted solution should consider other options.

18.5-Inch Articulating Arm Extension

The single specification that determines fit is the articulating arm length of 18.5 inches. This extension range enables the full 180-degree swivel and tilt movement when the TV is pulled out from the recessed position. Verify that your wall cavity depth and viewing distance work with this fixed extension before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I mount the R300 between 16-inch stud centers for the recessed fit?

Cut the opening between two studs spaced 16 inches apart, secure the steel wall plate to both studs with the supplied lag bolts, then attach the TV brackets to your screen using the VESA 100x100 to 400x400 pattern.

Will the gas-spring arm or tilt mechanism need periodic lubrication or replacement?

The arm uses solid steel pivot points with no gas spring; no lubrication is required, and the tilt mechanism is rated for the life of the mount under the 80 lb (36 kg) limit.

At what point does the 18.5-inch extension stop swivelling the full 90° each way?

Swivel reaches the full 90° in either direction only when the TV is smaller; at the maximum 55-inch width the screen edges hit the wall cavity and reduce usable swivel first.
