Professional Door Jamb Set

The Kapro 985M Apollo set includes 78-inch and 32-inch levels built for professional door installation. Three hand-calibrated solid acrylic vials deliver accuracy better than .0005 in./in. The set carries the VPA Germany tested seal and features patented Dual-View Plumb Site for direct vertical sighting.

Accuracy and Handling Limits

Vial accuracy is rated at < .0005 in./in, defining the practical precision for plumb and level work. The 32-inch level provides two milled read surfaces for superior contact. Shock-absorbing end caps protect the frame, while ergo grip air-cushioned handles reduce fatigue during extended use.

Compatibility Checks Before Ordering

Verify that 78-inch and 32-inch lengths suit your door and jamb dimensions. Confirm the reversible design works for both floor and ceiling leveling tasks. Ensure the Dual-View Plumb Site sight line matches your preferred workflow. Buyers needing different lengths or a non-magnetic version should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Which length should I pick — the 78" or the 32" level?

Choose the 78" level for full-height door jambs and the 32" level for shorter spans or cross-checking; both are included in the set.

What does the < 0.0005 in./in vial accuracy mean on site?

It means the bubble stays within half a thousandth of an inch per inch of level length, giving precise plumb and level readings for door installation.

How does the Dual-View Plumb Site work on the vertical vial?

The patented design lets you sight straight down through the top of the level, eliminating the need for awkward side views when plumbing door jambs.
