Replacement Power Pack

The Kastar 2-pack supplies two lithium-ion batteries and a foldable-plug AC wall charger for Universal Remote Control handsets. Each cell delivers 1900 mAh at 3.7 V, giving 7.03 Wh of capacity. The charger accepts 100-240 V input and outputs 4.2 V at 600 mA with red and green LED status lights.

Compatibility Scope

This kit fits URC MX-810 MX-880 MX-890 MX-950 MX-980 MX-990 MX-1200 X-8 TRC-1080 TRC-820 and 11N09T NC0910 RLI-007-1 LIT0404 models. Buyers whose remote uses a different battery form factor or voltage should look at something else. Households needing more than two spare cells will require additional packs.

Deciding Specification

The critical figure is the 3.7 V lithium-ion chemistry matched to the 4.2 V 600 mA charger output. Only remotes designed for this exact voltage and charge profile will operate safely and reach full capacity.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Kastar battery into my URC MX-990 remote, and what step is often missed?

Open the battery compartment, insert the 3.7V Li-Ion cell matching the polarity markings, close the cover, then place the battery on the charger until the LED turns green; the step often missed is the initial full charge before first use.

What maintenance will the Kastar 1900mAh Li-Ion batteries need over time?

Recharge the 7.03 Wh cells before they drop below 20 % capacity, store them at roughly half charge if unused for weeks, and replace both packs when run-time falls to about half of the original 1900 mAh rating.

What limit appears first when the Kastar charger runs continuously at 100-240V AC?

The charger’s 600 mA DC 4.2V output caps the charge current, so each 1900 mAh battery needs roughly three hours; heat from sustained cycling is the first practical limit, not the 50-60 Hz input range.
