Three 2200 mAh BP-819 batteries

The set includes three lithium-ion batteries rated at 7.4 V and 2200 mAh (16.3 Wh) together with a compact charger that can charge up to four batteries simultaneously. Each battery replaces Canon BP-809, BP-819 and BP-827 types for a wide range of VIXIA camcorders.

Check that your camcorder uses BP-809.

The charger accepts 5 V 2–3 A input via Micro-USB or USB-C and supplies 8.4 V at 800 mA for one or two batteries or 500 mA for three or four. A USB-C cable is included; ensure you have a suitable 5 V power source. The intelligent display shows charging status and capacity for each bay.

Suits VIXIA owners needing several ready-to-swap

Videographers who run long shoots on compatible HF, HG or G-series models gain three spare batteries and a single charger for all of them. Users of cameras that require different battery form factors or higher capacity cells should look at other options.

Questions about this item

Does the pack include a power adapter or only the USB-C cable?

The box contains one four-bay charger, three 2200 mAh 7.4 V Li-Ion batteries and a USB-C cable; a 5 V 2-3 A USB power adapter must be purchased separately.

Are the three batteries all the same 2200 mAh BP-819 version?

Yes, the pack supplies three identical BP-819 cells rated at 2200 mAh and 16.3 Wh each.

How long does a full charge take when all four bays are occupied?

With four batteries inserted the charger delivers 500 mA per bay, so a 2200 mAh cell needs roughly four and a half hours to reach full capacity.
