Three-pack BT-65Q replacement kit

This Kastar set includes three 7.4 V lithium-ion batteries rated at 5 800 mAh and one AC wall charger with a foldable flat plug. The combination targets survey crews who operate Topcon total stations such as the GTS-900 or GPT-9000 series and need multiple ready-to-swap power packs for long field days.

Charger input range and output limits

The supplied charger accepts 100 to 240 V AC at 50 or 60 Hz and delivers a fixed 8.4 V DC at 600 mA. That output current caps the recharge rate, so each 42.92 Wh battery will require several hours to reach full charge and the unit cannot fast-charge or maintain multiple cells simultaneously.

7.4 V 5 800 mAh lithium-ion chemistry

Each cell provides 7.4 volts and 5 800 mAh capacity, matching the original BT-65Q specification. Instruments that demand a different voltage, a higher amp-hour rating or a proprietary communication protocol will not operate correctly with these packs.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the three-battery pack or a single battery for my Topcon GTS-900?

The three-battery pack gives you two spares so the GTS-900 keeps running during long field sessions.

What does the 5800 mAh rating deliver on a Topcon GPT-9000?

At 7.4 V the 5800 mAh cells provide 42.92 Wh, powering the GPT-9000 for a full day of surveying.

What does the 8.4 V 600 mA charger output mean for recharge time?

The charger delivers 8.4 V at 600 mA, so each 5800 mAh battery takes roughly ten hours to reach the green-light full charge.
