The Kastar KLIC-8000 set supplies four 3.7 V 2400 mAh lithium-ion cells rated at 8.9 Wh each. They replace the Kodak KLIC-8000 and Ricoh DB-50 packs used in several Caplio and Kodak Z-series cameras. The bundle includes an LTD2 charger that powers two batteries simultaneously from any 5 V USB source.

Dual-slot charger draws 15 W maximum input

The LTD2 unit accepts 5 V at 2–3 A through either Micro-USB or USB-C and delivers 4.2 V at 800 mA per slot. An integrated LCD shows real-time capacity and charging status for each cell. Total input power is capped at 15 W, so a standard USB wall adapter or power bank is sufficient for overnight top-ups.

Interchangeable plate design extends compatibility

Swappable charging plates let the same dock handle Kodak K7600-C, K8500-C and Ricoh BJ-5 battery types without buying separate cradles. A short Micro-USB cable is included; USB-C cables are not supplied. Photographers needing more than four cells or a faster charge rate will require additional hardware.
