Four-pack NP-FV50 batteries with AC charger

This set supplies four lithium-ion batteries rated at 7.2 V and 1550 mAh each, plus a wall charger with a foldable flat plug. It is intended for owners of compatible Sony Handycam and FDR models who need multiple spare cells for extended shooting sessions. The pack replaces the original NP-FV50, NP-FV70 and NP-FV100 batteries used across those camcorders.

Capacity and charging headroom

Each cell stores 11.16 Wh, giving enough power for typical event or travel recording before a swap is needed. The charger accepts 100–240 V AC input and delivers 8.4 V at 600 mA, so a full recharge takes several hours per battery. Users planning continuous all-day coverage should budget time for sequential charging or carry additional charged packs.

Build quality and daily use

The foldable flat plug lets the charger sit flush against a wall outlet or power strip, reducing the risk of accidental disconnection. A red LED shows active charging and a green LED signals standby or full charge, providing clear status at a glance. The bundle covers a wide range of Sony DCR, HDR, FDR, DEV and HDR-PJ models listed by the supplier.

Questions about this item

Will the NP-FV50 batteries work with my older Sony DCR-SR58 camcorder?

Yes, the NP-FV50 is listed as compatible with the Sony DCR-SR58 and other SR-series models, replacing the original NP-FV50, NP-FV70 and NP-FV100 batteries.

How do I know the charger is working correctly when I plug it in?

The charger shows a red LED while charging and switches to green when the battery is full or on standby, using its 8.4 V 600 mA DC output.

Does the pack include everything needed to charge all four batteries at once?

The pack contains one AC wall charger with a foldable flat plug and four NP-FV50 batteries; the charger handles one battery at a time, so additional chargers would be required for simultaneous charging.
