Kastar AC Wall Charger for Canon BP-820/BP-828

This Kastar AC wall charger replaces the Canon CG-800 and charges Canon BP-820 and BP-828 lithium-ion batteries. It suits owners of Canon XA, XF and VIXIA camcorders who need a compact mains charger. The unit accepts 100–240 V input for worldwide use.

Installation and common issues

Plug the foldable flat-pin charger into any AC outlet and insert a compatible battery; a red LED shows charging and green shows full charge or standby. The fixed 4.2 V 600 mA output means charging takes several hours per battery. No cable or car adapter is included.

Check your setup before ordering

Confirm your camcorder uses BP-820 or BP-828 batteries and that you do not need simultaneous multi-bay charging. The charger only handles one battery at a time and does not power the camera directly. Verify your region uses 100–240 V mains.
