AC Wall Charger for Canon BP-820/828 Batteries

This Kastar AC wall charger powers Canon BP-820 and BP-828 lithium-ion batteries. It accepts AC 100-240V input and delivers DC 4.2V at 600mA. A foldable flat plug makes storage simple. An LED shows red while charging and green when the battery is full or on standby.

For Canon camcorder owners using BP-820

The unit replaces the Canon CG-800 charger and fits XA series models such as the XA10, XA20, XA30, XA40, XA50, XA60, XA70, VIXIA HF G21, G30, G40, G50, G60, G70, GX10, XF400 and XF405. It is not for users who need to charge two batteries at once or who require a car-adapter cable.

4.2V 600mA DC output

This voltage and current rating determines whether the charger matches your BP-820 or BP-828 pack. Check the battery label before buying; a different output will not charge these cells correctly.

Questions about this item

Which Kastar charger model matches my Canon BP-820 or BP-828 battery?

This Kastar BP-820 AC wall charger is built for Canon BP-820 and BP-828 Li-Ion packs and replaces the Canon CG-800 charger.

What does the 4.2 V 600 mA output mean when I plug a battery in?

It delivers a steady 4.2 V at up to 600 mA, so a depleted BP-820 or BP-828 cell charges at that rate until the green LED shows full.

Will the foldable flat plug work on 100–240 V mains worldwide?

Yes, the input accepts AC 100–240 V at 50–60 Hz, and the foldable flat pin lets you plug it into sockets in most regions without an adapter.
