Users with listed Canon gear

Photographers and videographers who own the compatible Canon cameras and need a replacement or spare mains charger will find this unit fits their existing batteries. Buyers whose equipment uses different battery types or who require a charger that also powers the camera directly should look elsewhere.

Input voltage range

The charger accepts AC 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz, so it operates on mains supplies worldwide without a separate transformer. Output is DC 4.2 volts at 600 milliamps, with a red LED while charging and green when the battery is full.

Questions about this item

Will this Kastar AC wall charger work with the BP-511A battery I still use in my older Canon EOS 20D?

Yes, the charger lists BP-511 and BP-511A among its compatible battery models, so it will charge the pack you already own.

How do I know the charger is operating correctly once I plug it in?

A red LED shows the battery is charging, while a green LED means the battery is full or the charger is on standby.

Does the package include a Canon BP-511 battery or only the charger itself?

Only the charger is supplied; the specifications state "No Battery" and the pack quantity is one charger.
