AC Wall Charger for Sony NP-FP Series

This Kastar AC wall charger powers Sony NP-FP30, NP-FP50, NP-FP51, NP-FP60, NP-FP70, NP-FP71, NP-FP90 and NP-FP91 lithium-ion batteries. It suits owners of compatible Handycam models who need a compact replacement for the original BC-TRP, BC-VH1 or AC-VQH10 chargers. The foldable flat plug makes it easy to pack for travel or daily use.

Charging Limits and Indicators

The unit accepts AC 100–240 V at 50–60 Hz and delivers a fixed DC 8.4 V at 600 mA output. A red LED shows active charging while a green LED signals standby or a full charge. The single-bay design charges one battery at a time, so users with multiple packs must cycle them sequentially.

Replaces Lost or Damaged Sony Chargers

This charger directly substitutes for misplaced or faulty Sony BC-TRP, BC-TRH, BC-TRV, BC-VH1 and AC-VQH10 units across the listed DCR-DVD, DCR-HC, DCR-SR and HDR-HC camcorders. It is not for photographers who need simultaneous multi-battery charging or faster charge rates than 600 mA.

Questions about this item

Which Kastar charger model matches my Sony NP-FP battery?

This single Kastar AC wall charger works with every listed NP-FP pack — FP30, FP50, FP51, FP60, FP70, FP71, FP90 and FP91 — so you only need one unit.

What does the 8.4 V 600 mA output mean when I plug in a battery?

It delivers a steady 8.4 volts at up to 600 milliamps, charging compatible NP-FP cells at a moderate rate; the LED turns red while charging and green when full.

Will the foldable flat plug work on 240 V mains abroad?

Yes — the input accepts 100 to 240 V at 50 to 60 Hz, so the same charger operates worldwide with only a passive plug adapter.
