Compact AC charger for Sony NP-FP series

This Kastar wall charger accepts 100–240 V mains power and delivers 8.4 V at 600 mA to compatible Sony lithium-ion batteries. A foldable flat plug keeps the unit slim for travel or storage. An LED shows red while charging and turns green when the battery reaches full charge or sits in standby. The charger ships alone without a battery included.

Fits directly into a camera bag or kit

Plug the unit into any standard wall outlet and insert a supported NP-FP battery; no separate cable or power brick is required. The wide input range lets it work on domestic and international voltage without a converter. Its small footprint frees space in a gear bag that a bulkier desktop charger would occupy. Builders who need simultaneous multi-bay charging or a car adapter will not find those features here.

Replaces original Sony BC-TRP.

The charger covers NP-FP30, NP-FP50, NP-FP51, NP-FP60, NP-FP70, NP-FP71, NP-FP90 and NP-FP91 cells used across dozens of Handycam models from the DCR-DVD, DCR-HC, DCR-SR and HDR-HC lines. It is a direct swap when the factory unit is lost or damaged. Users with newer Sony battery types or cameras that charge only via USB-C will need a different solution.
