Suits Multi-Camera Owners and Long Shoots

Videographers running back-to-back events or travelling with several listed models gain instant swaps and reduced downtime. Users whose camcorder requires a different voltage, a proprietary communication protocol, or a physically larger pack should look elsewhere.

3200 mAh Capacity at 3.7 V

The 3200 mAh rating at 3.7 V delivers 11.84 Wh per cell, the single figure that determines run-time per charge. If your workflow demands more energy per battery than this specification provides, these units will not meet the need.

Questions about this item

Does the 2-pack include a charger or do I need to buy a Canon CG-700 separately?

The pack contains two BP-727 batteries only; a compatible Canon CG-700 charger is not included and must be purchased separately.

Should I choose the 3200 mAh BP-727 or a lower-capacity BP-718 for my VIXIA HF R50?

The 3200 mAh BP-727 provides the highest capacity listed and is fully compatible with the VIXIA HF R50, so it will give the longest run time.

What does the 11.84 Wh rating mean for actual recording time on a VIXIA HF M52?

At 3.7 V and 11.84 Wh, the battery stores roughly 3200 mAh; real recording time depends on the camcorder's power draw, screen brightness and codec settings.
