Four-pack replacement batteries

This set provides four lithium-ion cells rated at 7.4 volts and 1500 milliampere-hours each, totalling 11.1 watt-hours per unit. They are built to replace Canon BP-808, BP-809, BP-819 and BP-827 packs in compatible camcorders. The cells include over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current and over-heating protection circuits and meet UL1642 and CE safety standards.

Voltage and capacity match

The critical specification is the 7.4 V 1500 mAh rating, which must match the original Canon battery exactly for the camera to recognise and charge the pack. Any deviation in voltage or capacity would prevent reliable operation in the listed VIXIA, HF, HG, FS and XA models. Confirm your camcorder uses one of the named Canon battery models before purchasing.

Ready for Canon CG-800 charger

The batteries are designed to charge in the Canon CG-800 charger without additional adapters or firmware updates. This means existing charger owners can swap packs immediately and maintain the same charge cycle behaviour. Users without a CG-800 will need to obtain that charger separately to use these cells.

Questions about this item

How long will the 1500mAh 7.4V capacity last in a real camcorder?

Each 1500mAh cell delivers 11.1 Wh, so four batteries give roughly four times the single-battery runtime on compatible Canon VIXIA, HF, FS or XA models.

Does the 7.4V Li-ion chemistry work with the Canon CG-800 charger?

Yes, the 7.4V lithium-ion packs are listed as direct replacements for Canon BP-808, BP-809, BP-819 and BP-827 batteries and charge on the CG-800.

Will these 3-by-2-by-3 inch packs fit the battery compartment on a Canon HF G10?

The 3×2×3 inch form factor matches the original BP-808/809/819/827 footprint, so they seat correctly in the listed Canon camcorders.
