Kastar BP-808 Quadruple Charger

The Kastar BP-808 is a compact quadruple USB charger designed for Canon VIXIA and Legria camcorder batteries. It accepts Micro-USB or USB-C input and includes a USB-C cable. The unit charges up to four batteries simultaneously using interchangeable plates. Intelligent circuitry displays real-time charging status and battery capacity levels.

Suits multi-camera video shoots

Videographers running several Canon VIXIA HG20, HG21, HG30, XA10, FS10, FS11, FS20, FS21, FS22, FS31, FS40, FS100, FS200, FS300 or FS400 bodies benefit from the four-bay design. Buyers who need to charge larger cinema batteries or different brand packs should look at other solutions.

8.4 V 800 mA peak output per bay

The charger delivers 8.4 V at 800 mA when one or two batteries are inserted, dropping to 500 mA per bay with three or four batteries. Input is rated at 5 V 2-3 A 15 W via Micro-USB or USB-C. This output profile determines whether your BP-808, BP-809, BP-819 or BP-827 cells charge at full speed.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the Micro-USB or USB-C input for the Kastar BP-808?

Both inputs accept 5 V at 2–3 A (15 W). USB-C is more convenient with the included cable; Micro-USB works with older power bricks.

What does the 8.4 V 800 mA output mean when charging four Canon BP-808 batteries?

The charger delivers 800 mA per slot for one or two batteries, then drops to 500 mA each when three or four are inserted, so total charge time increases with more cells.

How does the 15 W input limit affect simultaneous charging of four packs?

With a 15 W ceiling the unit splits current: 800 mA each for two batteries, 500 mA each for three or four, so all four charge together but more slowly per cell.
