Quadruple USB Battery Charger

The Kastar BP-819 charges up to four compatible Canon camcorder batteries simultaneously. It accepts Micro-USB or USB Type-C input and includes a Type-C cable. The unit measures 3.5 by 2 by 2.5 inches and uses intelligent circuitry to display charging status and remaining capacity for each slot.

Replaces Single-Bay Chargers

This charger consolidates four individual charging bays into one compact device, eliminating the need for multiple wall adapters. The upgrade is worthwhile when you regularly deplete two or more BP-809, BP-819 or BP-827 batteries during a shoot and want them ready at the same time.

Build Integration

The 5 V 2–3 A input requirement means it can run from a standard USB power bank or laptop port, freeing a mains socket for other gear. Interchangeable plates let you adapt the same charger to different battery families, reducing the number of dedicated chargers you must carry.

Questions about this item

How much space does the 3.5 by 2 by 2.5 inch charger need on a desk or shelf?

The unit measures 3.5 by 2 by 2.5 inches, so it fits on a small shelf or crowded desk without blocking adjacent ports.

What is the correct way to power the charger so all four slots reach 8.4 V 800 mA?

Use a 5 V 2 to 3 A source of at least 15 W plugged into the USB-C or Micro-USB input; lower amperage drops the output to 500 mA per slot.

When should the interchangeable charging plates be swapped for BP-809, BP-819 or BP-827 batteries?

Change the plate whenever the battery model differs; each plate matches the contacts of one Canon BP series so the charger reads capacity correctly.
