What this kit includes

The Kastar BP-820 kit supplies one lithium-ion battery rated at 7.4 V and 2050 mAh plus an AC wall charger with a foldable flat plug. It is built for videographers who need a spare or replacement power source for compatible Canon camcorders.

The capacity that decides fit

The battery stores 15.2 Wh at 7.4 V, matching the Canon BP-820 and BP-828 specifications. If your camera requires a different watt-hour rating or voltage this kit will not meet the requirement.

Heat noise and power in use

The charger accepts 100 to 240 V AC input and delivers 8.4 V at 600 mA, so it runs cool and silent on any mains supply. A red LED shows charging and a green LED signals standby or full charge.

Questions about this item

How long will the 2050 mAh capacity last during a shoot with a Canon XA60?

The 2050 mAh lithium-ion cell stores 15.2 Wh at 7.4 V; actual run-time depends on the camcorder's power draw and recording settings.

What does the charger's 8.4 V 600 mA output mean for charge speed?

The wall unit delivers 8.4 V at up to 600 mA from any 100-240 V AC source, so a full charge takes several hours and the LED shows red while charging, green when done.

Will the foldable flat plug fit a standard UK socket or a tight power strip?

The AC charger has a foldable flat-pin design for compact storage; it accepts 100-240 V input but the pin format matches the region it was supplied for.
