Three-pack replacement kit

The Kastar BP-915G kit supplies three lithium-ion batteries rated at 7.4V and 3500mAh plus a single AC wall charger. Each cell stores 25.9 Wh of energy. The bundle targets owners of compatible Canon camcorders who want spare power for long shoots.

Replaces original BP series cells

The batteries substitute for Canon BP-911, BP-914, BP-915, BP-925, BP-930, BP-935, BP-945, BP-950, BP-955, BP-970 and BP-975 series packs. The charger accepts AC 100-240V input and delivers DC 4.2V at 600mA. LED indicators show red while charging and green when complete. The jump is worth it when the original cells no longer hold a full day’s charge.

Suits multi-camera operators

Videographers running XF100, XF105, XF200, XF205, XF300, XF305, XL-H1S, XL-2 or GL2 bodies gain hot-swap capability with three spares. The foldable flat plug eases travel packing. Buyers who need higher capacity than 3500mAh or a multi-bay charger for simultaneous charging should look at other solutions.

Questions about this item

What clearance does the 3×2×3 inch battery need inside the Canon camcorder battery compartment?

The BP-915G measures 3 by 2 by 3 inches, so the camera’s battery cavity must accept at least those dimensions for the pack to seat and latch.

What is the correct way to plug the AC wall charger into mains power, and what mistake should I avoid?

Unfold the flat plug, insert it into a 100–240 V 50–60 Hz outlet, then connect the battery; the common error is leaving the plug folded, which prevents contact.

When should I expect to replace the 7.4 V 3500 mAh Li-Ion packs based on charge-cycle performance?

Lithium-ion cells typically deliver 300–500 full cycles before capacity drops below 80 %, so plan replacement after roughly that many charge cycles.
