Kastar BP-915G AC Wall Charger

The Kastar BP-915G is an AC wall charger designed for Canon BP-series lithium-ion batteries. It serves owners of compatible Canon camcorders and professional video cameras who need a compact mains-powered charging solution. The unit accepts a wide input range and plugs directly into a wall socket without a separate cable.

Input and output limits

The charger operates on AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz and delivers DC 4.2V at 600mA. It charges one battery at a time and is limited to the listed BP-911, BP-914, BP-915, BP-925, BP-930, BP-935, BP-945, BP-950, BP-955, BP-970 and BP-975 compatible models. It cannot charge other chemistries or higher-capacity packs.

Installation and common issues

The foldable flat plug folds flat for storage and plugs straight into a standard mains outlet; no tools or extra cables are required. A red LED shows charging and a green LED shows standby or full charge. The main issue is inserting a battery that is not on the compatibility list, which will not charge and may damage the cell.

What does the 4.2 V 600 mA output mean when the charger is in use?

The unit delivers a steady 4.2 volts at up to 600 milliamps to the inserted battery, so a compatible pack receives the correct lithium-ion charge profile without over-voltage.
