AC Wall Charger with Foldable Plug

The Kastar BP-915G is a compact AC wall charger designed for Canon BP-series lithium-ion batteries. It accepts mains input from 100 to 240 volts at 50 to 60 hertz and delivers a 4.2 volt 600 milliamp output. A foldable flat pin makes the unit easy to store or pack for travel. An LED shows red while charging and green when the battery reaches full charge or standby.

Charging Speed and Mains Compatibility

The fixed 600 milliamp output sets a practical limit on how quickly a depleted pack can be replenished. Larger capacity cells such as the BP-970 or BP-975 will therefore take longer to reach full charge than smaller packs. The wide 100 to 240 volt input range allows use on domestic and international mains without a separate voltage converter, though a plug adapter may still be required for local socket types.

Replaces Lost or Worn Original Chargers

This unit serves as a direct replacement for a missing or damaged Canon original charger across the extensive list of compatible camcorder and camera models. It is not suited for users who need simultaneous multi-bay charging or faster current delivery for professional turnaround times. Buyers requiring higher throughput or the ability to charge several packs at once should consider a multi-channel desktop charger instead.

Questions about this item

Which Canon battery models does this charger support?

It charges BP-911, BP-911K, BP-914, BP-915, BP-915G, BP-925, BP-930, BP-935, BP-945, BP-950, BP-950G, BP-955, BP-970, BP-970G and BP-975 batteries.

What charging current does the 600 mA output deliver to a battery in use?

The unit supplies a constant 4.2 V at 600 mA, so a compatible Li-Ion pack receives a steady 600 mA charge current until the green LED shows it is full.

What does the 100-240 V AC input mean for worldwide use?

The charger accepts any mains voltage from 100 V to 240 V at 50 or 60 Hz, so it works on household power in most countries without a voltage converter.
