Dual-slot USB charger for Canon camcorder batteries

The Kastar BP-915G LTD2 charges two compatible Li-Ion packs simultaneously from any 5 V USB source. Swappable plates let it accept BP-911 through BP-975 series cells used in GL1, GL2, MV, Optura, XF, XH and XL models. A built-in LCD shows real-time capacity for each slot.

Sustained charging at 800 mA per slot

Each bay delivers a steady 4.2 V at 800 mA whether one or two batteries are inserted. The 15 W input ceiling means a 5 V 3 A adapter keeps both channels at full rate without throttling. Charge time scales with cell capacity rather than charger limits.

Cool, silent operation from a 5 V supply

No fan or active cooling is needed; the unit runs at low temperature during typical top-ups. Power draw peaks at 15 W from the USB-C or Micro-USB port, so it works with standard power banks and wall adapters. Compact 5 x 3 x 1 inch footprint suits travel kits.

Questions about this item

How warm does the charger get when running all day at 15 W input?

The charger draws 5 V at 2–3 A for a 15 W maximum input and outputs 4.2 V at 800 mA per slot; it has no fan, so warmth stays modest during continuous use.

Which power adapter must I already own to run the Micro-USB or Type-C inputs?

You need any 5 V USB adapter capable of 2–3 A output — typical phone or tablet chargers meet this requirement.

Will the interchangeable plates fit my Canon BP-915G and BP-970G batteries together?

Yes, the dual-slot design accepts two batteries simultaneously and the swappable plates cover both the BP-915G and BP-970G models listed.
