Compact wall charger for Canon LP-E12 batteries

This Kastar AC wall charger replaces the Canon LC-E12 and LC-E12E units. It accepts 100 to 240 volt input at 50 to 60 Hz and delivers 8.4 volts at 600 mA to LP-E12 cells. A foldable flat plug makes it easy to pack for travel. The unit is sold as a single charger without a battery included.

Check your battery model and regional plug type

Verify that you use a Canon LP-E12 or LPE12 battery before ordering. The charger works with cameras such as the EOS M50, M50 Mark II, M100, M200, Rebel SL1, 100D, M, M2, M10 and PowerShot SX70 HS. Ensure your mains supply falls within the 100 to 240 volt range and that the foldable US-style pins suit your wall outlets or adapter.

LED status light and foldable plug simplify daily

A red LED shows active charging while a green LED signals standby or a full charge. The foldable flat plug reduces bulk in a bag and protects the pins from damage. No cables or extra adapters are bundled, so you connect the charger directly to the wall socket.

Questions about this item

Does the Kastar LP-E12 charger ship with a Canon LP-E12 battery, or do I need to buy the battery separately?

The pack contains one charger only and no battery, so a compatible LP-E12 cell must be purchased separately.

The listing mentions several Canon cameras — which specific battery model does this charger actually support?

It is designed for the Canon LP-E12 battery used in the EOS M50, M50 Mark II, M100, M200, Rebel SL1, 100D, M, M2, M10 and PowerShot SX70 HS.

What does the 600 mA output current mean for charging time when I plug the charger into a wall socket?

At 8.4 V and 600 mA the charger delivers a standard trickle rate; a depleted LP-E12 cell typically reaches full charge in a few hours.
