Two-pack lithium-ion batteries for Canon Speedlite

This pack contains two Kastar LP-EL lithium-ion batteries rated at 7.2 V and 2600 mAh each, delivering 18.72 Wh of energy. They are fully decoded replacements for the Canon LP-EL and 4307C002 packs and are built for the Canon Speedlite EL-5 flash. Photographers who need reliable spare power for long wedding or event shoots will find the twin pack convenient.

Built-in protection circuits

Each cell includes over-charge, over-discharge, over-voltage, over-current and over-heating safeguards and meets UL 1642 and CE safety standards. The batteries charge in the Canon LC-E6 charger and report remaining capacity on the Speedlite EL-1 display. The compact 3 by 2 by 2 inch form factor fits the flash battery compartment without modification.

Verify flash model and charger before ordering

Confirm that your flash unit accepts the Canon LP-EL or 4307C002 battery; the pack is not compatible with earlier Speedlite models that use different battery types. Ensure you have access to a Canon LC-E6 charger, as no charger is included. Buyers who need a different voltage, a higher capacity single cell or a charger bundle should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

What interface standard does the LP-EL battery use and what voltage does it deliver?

The LP-EL is a Canon-compatible lithium-ion pack that delivers 7.2V and communicates with the Speedlite EL-1 for on-screen level readout.

What physical dimensions must the battery compartment accommodate for this 2-pack?

Each cell measures 3 by 2 by 2 inches, so the flash or grip must accept that footprint and depth.

How is the LP-EL installed in the Speedlite EL-1 and what step do users often miss?

Slide the pack into the EL-1 battery chamber until it clicks, then verify the top-right display shows the remaining level before shooting.
