Dual-slot charger for Canon BP-511 series

The Kastar LTD2 accepts two BP-511 or BP-511A batteries simultaneously and also supports the BP-508, BP-512, BP-514, BP-522 and BP-535 packs. It draws power from any 5 V USB source through either Micro-USB or USB-C, so it works with wall adapters, power banks or a laptop port. An integrated LCD shows the charge level for each cell while they fill. Photographers who need to top up several packs between shoots will find it compact enough to keep in a camera bag.

USB power input frees you from mains-only docks

Because the unit runs from a 5 V 2–3 A supply, you can recharge on location without hunting for a wall socket. The swappable plate design lets you change battery types without buying a new cradle, and the single Micro-USB cable in the box covers the Micro-USB port; a USB-C cable is not included. Builders who want a dedicated AC dock with fixed pins should look elsewhere.

Charges two packs at 800 mA each

Each slot delivers 4.2 V at 800 mA, so a typical BP-511 pack reaches full capacity in a few hours; running both slots together holds the same current per cell. The LCD reports percentage progress for both batteries at once. Users who need faster than 800 mA per cell or who want to charge four packs at once will need a different solution.
