Kastar LTD2 USB Dual Charger for Canon BP-511 Series

The Kastar LTD2 is a dual-slot USB charger designed for Canon BP-511, BP-511A and compatible lithium-ion packs. It powers two batteries simultaneously from any 5 V USB source, making it suitable for photographers and videographers who need a compact backup charging option for field work or studio use.

Verify your battery model

Check that your pack is listed among the supported BP-508, BP-511, BP-512, BP-514, BP-522 or BP-535 types. The charger requires a 5 V 2-3 A USB supply (15 W) via Micro-USB or USB-C; a lower-output port may not deliver the rated 800 mA per slot.

Sustained charging behaviour under continuous use

When both slots are occupied the charger maintains 4.2 V at 800 mA per battery without increasing the current. The LCD shows real-time capacity for each cell so you can monitor progress during extended sessions. Thermal regulation is handled passively through the compact housing.

Questions about this item

Does the Kastar LTD2 come with any BP-511 batteries or do I need to buy them separately?

The pack contains one charger unit and a Micro-USB cable; batteries are not included and must be purchased separately.

Which battery models can I charge with the interchangeable plates on this LTD2 unit?

The charger accepts plates for BP-508, BP-511, BP-511A, BP-512, BP-512A, BP-514, BP-522 and BP-535 cells.

What does the 800 mA output figure mean when I am charging two batteries at once?

Each bay delivers up to 800 mA simultaneously, so two batteries charge at the same rate as a single one.
